Set an expiry date and reactivate expired envelopes

You can now choose when an envelope expires, and bring it back after it does.

Set an expiry date. Add expires_at in YYYY-MM-DD when you create or send an envelope. It also works on POST /rs and on Fetch embedded sending URL. The envelope's expiry_time is set to 23:59:59 UTC on that date. Leave it out and the envelope expires 365 days after you create it, as before.

{
  "expires_at": "2026-12-31"
}

Reactivate an expired envelope. Call Reactivate an expired envelope with a new expires_at. You get a 204 with no body. The envelope keeps its ID, goes back to incomplete, and its signers can finish. It works on envelopes sent by email with Create or send an envelope. Reactivating is available only on the API Advanced Plan.

curl -X PUT https://api.signeasy.com/v3/rs/envelope/{pending_file_id}/reactivate \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer {access_token}" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"expires_at": "2026-12-31"}'

A daily job marks envelopes expired, so an envelope can stay open for up to about a day after its expiry_time. Until then, Reactivate returns 400.
